Hey, it’s me. Madison!
You’ve come to the right place if you want more than talk therapy.
And if you want more than “just to function”
Have you ever felt like...
there’s never enough time, and you’re stuck in a cycle of “go, go, go”?
anxious or fearful that people will see through you and realize that you’re a fraud?
you always prioritize other people’s needs over your own
numb, on auto-pilot, disconnected from yourself and others?
you can’t seem to slow down even though you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out?
you focus on others needs or emotions, as it provides a way to avoid your own?
you’ve tried therapy before, but you continue in your cycle of unwanted negative patterns
no matter how much is already on your plate, there’s a constant feeling of being not good enough or not doing enough?
there’s a critical voice in your head that lead to shame, guilt, or anxiety?
These are common themes i hear alot,
you're not alone, and no, you're not too much.
Persistent subtle emotional scars, combined with the pressures of everyday life, may leave you feeling trapped in a state of -
where you can be high-functioning,
functional freeze
but you’re on auto-pilot, numb, or anxious.
Healing chronic emotional wounds differs from healing trauma from a single incident. These wounds, often overlooked, require a unique approach to healing.
Emotional wounds can result from various “small” or subtle moments over many years, making it hard to identify a single memory.
When we think of trauma, we don’t think about:
Emotional wounds from childhood can lead to long-lasting feelings of shame, guilt, and self-criticism due to the impact of early relationships on self-esteem.
I help high-functioning adults break free from negative core beliefs built by repeated
& prolonged exposure to subtle toxicities
I’m interested! Where do I start?
Here’s a bit of my story. . .
I had the “high-functioning anxiety” thing down my whole life. It wasn’t until my 30s and well into my career as a therapist that I was diagnosed with ADHD. Through my own work in therapy, I discovered the serious negative impact on my overall health from exposure to subtle toxicities in very small doses, but for a long time. They’re so subtle that we don’t recognize them as “traumatic” or we brush it off with “eh, I turned out okay.” We as a society know all too well, how to normalize what’s abnormal and unnatural circumstances.
My passion is to help others like me to come out of functional freeze, and live more present and fuller lives!
Here’s what I’m really good at!
