50-Minute Individual Therapy
$250
I reserve a limited number of spots for sliding scale, for those who qualify. I currently do not have sliding scale spots open.
I am accepting new clients in California.
I am out-of-network, and like most specialty therapists, I do not bill insurance.
Dealing with superbills (super what?)
and reimbursement for your
therapy can be confusing...
Don’t worry, there’s an easier way!
We've partnered with Mentaya,
a service that helps take care of reimbursement
with your out-of-network insurance!
Mentaya is perfect if you:
• Have out-of-network benefits
• Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
• Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
• Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up for Mentaya: here
2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
4. You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required,
dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.
It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of your fees!

consider which option is the
fit for you
Best
PPO
Preferred Provider Organization
The Pros
You have more therapist options for fit, niche, and scheduling with out-of-network therapy. A superbill for potential insurance reimbursement can be provided, typically covering 60%-80% of session costs.
The Cons
A mental health diagnosis is required on the superbill, and sessions are paid upfront .
Out-of-pocket
The Pros
You have the freedom to choose your therapist, ensuring maximum privacy and tailored care without insurance involvement. Because you can choose the therapist that can best provide you with the specialty care that fits you, you’re likely to need less sessions overall.
The Cons
It tends to be more costly per session.
HMO
Health Maintenance Organization
The Pros
The cost is lower and the process is simple. Reach out to your insurance provider to identify in-network therapists.
The Cons
You have limited choices of network therapists, many with extended wait times. Your insurance company heavily influences the therapists, issues, and approaches covered.
FSA/HSA
Some FSA/HSA qualify therapy as an eligible medical expense. Check with your account to see whether therapy is covered. This works similarly to using your PPO insurance-a superbill can be provided for reimbursement from you FSA/HSA account. The Cons and Pros are also similar to using PPO.
FSA (Flexible Spending Account)
“Use it or lose it” system that’s tied to your place of employment.
HSA (Health Savings Account)
“Take it wherever you go”, and it’s not tied to your place of employment.
